I've created this blog to advocate for these beautiful kids on behalf of Reece's Rainbow organization.
Even if you are not in the position to adopt, there are other ways that you can help. Please spread the word, donate to grants, or pray for loving families to adopt the orphans. Please go to http://reecesrainbow.org/waystohelp for more info.
UPDATED NEWS: I am adopting! Visit My Adoption Journey for updated news. If you can donate towards my cause, I would really be grateful for the support. It is a beautiful journey; one that can spark a major difference in at least two human lives… Thank you and God Bless!

LINA
http://reecesrainbow.org/41427/lina-3f
as6z-3F
Girl Born June 2011
Lina is a beautiful girl with lots of medical needs. She’s a beauty. Everyone falls in love with her big open eyes and long eyelashes. Lina understands people very well, including their moods. Up to 7 months, Lina was babysat by nannies while she was in the hospital. She knew them very well and loved them too.
She is now in the Orphanage.
Unfortunately, the fate of this girl is very difficult. Her mom left her in the hospital. Lina was born premature, bleeding in the lung, and on the 3rd month, experienced epileptic seizures which then led to her diagnosis of epilepsy. The girl cannot eat on her own and still only eats through a tube. She frequently experiences pain, and especially worries when the weather changes.
She can hold her own head up and roll over, but she hasn’t yet learned how to sit. She’s so sweet. She likes to smack her lips as if sucking a pacifier, but in reality, she cannot suck. Lina loves attention. She enjoys being talked to, stroked, kissed, and played with. Therefore, it is very difficult in the Orphanage, because she does not receive much attention. It is very difficult to leave the orphanage after visiting the baby. She seemed to understand everything. She can look deep into your eyes that you don’t ever wish to let go!
Diagnosis: Hypoplasia of the right lung, Severe perinatal hypoxic-ischemic lesion of the nervous system, Epilepsy, Lag in the psycho-motor development, Pseudo-bulbar syndrome, Hemorrhagic gastritis, Minor malformation of the heart, Inguinal hernia, Hip dysplasia

ong6-15
Boy, born November 2004
Eyes of Gray
Blond hair
The nature of communicative
Diagnosis: Cerebral Palsy
Beau does not make an impression of a child who lives in an orphanage from his birth. Beau is very well developed, already knows how to read by syllables and is able to spell, write and count. The child loves to learn more and will be a promising student in a future. He is kind and friendly with the children and polite with the adults. He can be left alone in a room and will play with puzzles and mosaics for hours. He also likes to draw and is interested in technologies. He is a very accurate boy and likes cleanliness and order. He goes to the bathroom by himself and never forgets to brush his teeth and comb the hair. Beau walks without help but has spastic paraparetic gait.
Updates: Beau is at the hospital now, recovering after a surgery. His legs are now in Ilizarov apparatus. It is a very painful, but Beau is keeping his spirits up. The doctors are very positive that in the future he will require only special orthopedic shoes to walk almost normally. The volunteers are saying that his intellectual development is above the average. The child is very sensitive and vulnerable. He wants to be adopted and is dreaming about a family of his own. Please help this adorable child!

k9ip-3
Date of Birth: July 2008
Gender: Male
Eyes: Gray
Hair: blonde
Nature: Quiet, medically healthy (besides DS)
From missionaries who know him: "The boy has very tender, affectionate, cheerful and forgiving personality. He does not hesitate approaching to people and looks with interest at what they are doing and truly tries to emulate. He is doing it in such a cute way that these attempts turn out to be very funny to watch! Ilya does not speak yet but he is showing some progress in speaking.
The whole world is like a puzzle to him. When he hears a sound whether by tram or car – it is the whole event in his life. He stops and looks to the side, where sound occurs. When he is given toys he can play alone and will quietly deal with himself, allowing the rest to others.
The child needs tactile sensations very much. He loves to cuddle and be cuddled. He is not doing it in a demanding, but gently and neat way. He is independent and if falls he not waiting for help from an adult. He's just not accustomed to it and is not expecting that it someone might be interested in him. He found his simple way for tactile sensations: he is touching his palm with something soft.
Archie responds quickly to someone’s smile with a soft laughter. He is not potty trained yet but in a family will pick it up quickly. He is very friendly with the kids but at the same time he can stand up for himself; if someone takes away a toy from him, Ilya will follow the offender, trying to get it back. Archie loves to eat. If we go for a walk, everyone pays attention to his cheeks, cute little hamster! Archie does not like to run or play sporty games, he prefers quiet games with toys."

Darby was born with Down syndrome and a congenital craniofacial disorder. Last November, he had his first surgery which led to a huge improvement in his growth and development. To continue to grow and develop, Darby really needs a loving family! Please help Darby to find a home, he would BLOSSOM in a family, and what a perfect age to adopt!!!
Update, Sept 2011: Darby is expected to have an additional plastic surgery in the next few years. He is developing within the range of his age group, and has no health issues. He was born from the healthy parents and inherited very good health. Darby is a very kind and friendly boy; he likes to play with other kids and share the toys.

SHAUN
http://reecesrainbow.org/shaun-etkf-region-3
Boy, Born November 2007
This darling little boy is waiting for his forever family. He struggles with significant cleft issues and facial deformities. He also struggles with kidney problems. From his medical records, they indicate that he hasEdwards Syndrome, also known as Trisomy 18. This is quite a challenge, and most children do not survive past birth. We do not know if he has any of the other complications, but he clearly has many of the facial features and cognitive delays.
Maybe there is a super special family out there who will give Shaun a chance to really shine, and be all God intends for him to be!
